Privacy Policy

What we collect

You can browse CloudHosting.io without an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information from visitors who simply browse. We do not run a checkout or billing system of any kind.

If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and, where you set them up, your alert preferences (which providers you want price-change or deal notifications for) and newsletter subscription status. We use this information solely to operate those features — we do not sell it or share it with the hosting providers we cover.

We use two privacy-friendly analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors generally navigate the site: Vercel Analytics and Umami. Our Umami analytics run on our own self-hosted instance of the open-source Umami platform — the data stays on infrastructure we operate, and we do not share, sell, or provide it to third parties. Both tools are cookieless: neither uses cookies, tracks individuals across sites, nor builds a personal profile of you.

Standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) may be recorded temporarily by our hosting infrastructure for security and reliability purposes, as is standard for any website.

Signing in with Google

You can create an account or sign in using your Google Account. When you do, Google shares your email address and basic profile information (your name and profile picture) with us, as described on Google's consent screen. We use this only to create and identify your CloudHosting.io account — we do not receive your Google password, and we cannot access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.

Your use of Google sign-in is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can review or revoke CloudHosting.io's access at any time from your Google Account's security settings (myaccount.google.com/connections). If you registered with Google and later want your CloudHosting.io account and its data deleted, contact us and we will remove it.

Affiliate links

Links on this site to third-party hosting providers may in the future include affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you sign up with a provider through our link, at no extra cost to you. At present, we have no affiliate relationships and no links on this site are affiliate links. If that changes, any such relationship will never influence the pricing, specs, or comparisons we publish, which are drawn from each provider's own published information.

When you click a link to a provider, the destination provider's own privacy policy and tracking practices apply to that provider's site, not ours.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Both of our analytics tools (Vercel Analytics and self-hosted Umami) are designed to operate without cookies entirely.

If you sign in, we set strictly necessary session cookies to keep you logged in. These exist only to make your account work and are not used for tracking.

Third-party services

This site is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase (self-hosted on our own infrastructure) for backend data storage, including the pricing and comparison content we publish and, if you create an account, your account details and alert preferences. Google provides optional sign-in as described above. Our AI-assisted deal comparisons are generated using a third-party language model API; the prompts sent to that service contain only publicly listed provider pricing data, never visitor information.

Emails we send you (account confirmation, price and deal alerts, the newsletter) are delivered through a transactional email provider, which processes your email address for delivery purposes only. Every alert and newsletter email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can manage or delete your alerts from your account page at any time.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
