Before you switch

• Verify whether your workload actually requires 8x A100 GPUs or if a CPU-only instance (Vultr, AWS Lightsail, Scaleway, OVHcloud, UpCloud, Azure, Linode) would suffice; if CPU-only is acceptable, you could save 90%+ by switching
• Google Cloud's sustained-use and committed-use discounts are easy to miss; confirm whether you have already applied a 1-year or 3-year commitment to this price, or if further savings are available
• Network egress to the internet is metered after 200 GiB/month free tier; model your egress costs separately if you have high data-transfer requirements
• If you are using GKE, add $0.10/hour ($72/mo) per cluster for cluster management fees on top of the instance cost
• Custom machine types carry a 5% premium; verify you are not paying that surcharge if a predefined machine type would work
